Gabrielle has been dedicated to helping others for over a decade, bringing a wealth of experience and compassion to her work. She holds a three-year advanced diploma in Child and Youth Care, which laid the foundation for her impactful career. In the early years of her professional journey, Gabrielle worked with children and families navigating the complex challenges of homelessness and the emotional and practical changes that arise from domestic abuse. This work gave her valuable insight into the resilience of individuals facing adversity and deepened her understanding of the need for compassionate support during difficult times.

In addition to her work with families in crisis, Gabrielle gained experience in after-school programming, supporting children's development outside school hours. She also completed placements in both elementary and post-secondary education settings, further enhancing her ability to connect with individuals of all ages. Gabrielle’s summer camp work helped her create a supportive environment for young people to learn and grow.

Eager to expand her impact, Gabrielle pursued an Honours Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, which opened doors for her to work in diverse settings, including university support, housing advocacy, and mental health and disability services. Her broad experience equips her with the tools to address a wide range of issues and provide effective support. Gabrielle’s practice incorporates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Attachment-Based Therapy, Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), and more.

Gabrielle’s approach to therapy is warm, approachable, and often light-hearted, infusing her sessions with her signature quirkiness and “dad jokes” when appropriate. She creates an environment where humor can coexist with meaningful reflection, allowing clients to feel comfortable and understood. Gabrielle has a keen ability to help you identify how you're feeling and, more importantly, what to do with those feelings. She listens attentively, validates your experiences, and offers practical tools to help you move forward in a way that feels grounded and empowering. Whether you're navigating complex emotions or trying to make sense of your thoughts, Gabrielle is there to support you every step of the way.

Gabrielle works with adults/couples and teens. She also works with children aged 6+ on a case-by-case basis as part of family therapy. She is available for in-person sessions in North Bay and virtually throughout Ontario.
